Not so happy...

I had Directv installed at my house on Sunday, switching from Cox.  I am not very satisfied with the quality of picture, especially when it comes to SD.  Also, one of my local news channels (KUSI San Diego) isn't even offered in HD!  It is beautiful HD on Cox.  I will say that HD channels like Discovery, etc look very nice, but not really any better than Cox.  I am starting to have the sinking feeling that I made a big mistake.  Is there any "satisfaction guarantee" time period with DTV?  I have read about 3 days on various forums, but there is NOTHING on DTV's website that I can find.  Is it common for SD content to be this horrible on DTV?  Why can't they carry a local HD channel when Cox does??  What are my options?  Any help would be appreciated. Laughing

KUSI is considered a 'secondary' channel service and is not required to be carryed by any rebroadcast provider. That being said, there is only so much bandwith (space) on the Satellite system to carry video systems like KUSI in the local market.  DTV, DISH and even the local COX cable system attemp to carry as many of the services as possable but they due have a limit.

Cox cable  in your area is taking KUSI's signal off the air and feeding into the cable system.  Without a lot of bandwith available to the SAT service's then you do not get some of the other local channels.
