The model # for my TV is not listed and so I said that I did not know my model # and went ahead and programmed the remote the volume will work, the TV will turn on but the DirecTV remote will not turn off the TV we have to use our Samsung remote to turn off the TV which is a pain in the a$$. Can anyone help with this problem?? I also did try other remote codes without any luck.

Hey, @Lapcat55, let's see if we can program your remote to control your TV!

For your model of TV, please try using 12051 as the remote code, as this should be the one specifically for your TV model. We were able to find this code using the Remote Control Code Lookup Tool.

Let us know if this code works!

I can't find how to manually put in a remote code when my Samsung model number is not in the list. When it says did the code work and I say no it will only auto program the remote and does not allow me to put in the code that you sent me.

Hey @Lapcat55,

We understand that your still having trouble with getting remote programed. Take a look at this page that has the user guide for the remote you have and can help with your manual code input.

Please let us know if that helps at all.

I am not having a problem with the volume......What I need is instructions how to program the off button. You gave me a remote code for my TV but there is not an option to to enter that code when you follow the online program results options. So far you have not solved this problem.

Hi @Lapcat55, we understand your issue.

Unfortunately, if your Samsung model is not on the list of programming codes, and the manual option does not fully function with all features, then you must assume that your model is not compatible.

A third party universal remote may offer a resolution to your issue.

If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. Thank you for contacting us on AT&T Community Forums!

You do not seem to understand that when your follow the remote setup instructions and your model is not listed it does not allow the user to manually put in the code that you sent me. It will only allow auto program remote.

Hey @Lapcat55,

We understand you're still having trouble. Please follow these steps to manually enter code.

1.First thing your going to do is press and hold the mute and select button at the same time until green light flashes twice.

2.Then type in the 5digit code. After you enter the first digit please wait until the green light flashes, then type in the other 4digits. If the remote supports the code green light will flash twice.

3. Then try testing vol on device to see if remote programmed, if not try the next code.

Let us know if that works for you.
