orange record light on won't reset

My orange record light is on and won't power up or down using the front power button on box or reset and I have unplugged for longer than 15 seconds and it starts the powering up process and I get the blue screen saying almost done and then it screen goes black and powers down and won't do anything.  This all happened after I lost power.  What else do I do?
