Pause
Within the last 2 weeks, every time I pause either live TV or DVR, the screen flashes from a snowy screen to a black screen. This continues the entire time its in "Pause" mode. If it is paused too long, the live screen turns pink. The only way to get the pink screen to go away is to turn everything off and start over. I have unplugged the cable box but that didn't help.

How is your tv connected to the box? HDMI, component, composite, s-video ? It sounds like that cable (s) is loose.

or its one of the bugs in Directv's commercial insert system, which is supposed to insert specific commercials during pauses. If there are no commercials to insert, this is the sort of thing that happens.

Did you try changing HDMI cables or resetting your receiver twice within 10 minutes?

Thanks for your suggestions. I did a reboot of the receiver and that seems to have solved my problem with pausing.
