When I turn on TV it will play fine for about 15 seconds and then the picture freezes and then the TV will turn off on it"s on.... Do you think this is a receiver issue??
I think you may want to expand on that a little. Are you saying the TV turns itself off on it's own? TV's turning themselves off and on can sometimes be traced to one of those "smart" power strips.
Yes. When I power the TV on it will work fine....good picture.audio.etc..... nut after about 15 secs....the picture will freeze....and you still hear the audio....but after about 10 secs...the TV will completely shut off...
that has to do something with the power to it. The directv box has no way of making the tv turn off or on except by remote. I've heard of this happening with those power strips. usually the freezing is a signal issue which could also be caused by the power strip depending on what system you have. either way there is an electrical issue that's causing the tv to shut off and may be causing the tv to shut off. too. If its a power inserter see if there is an adapter attached to the satellite cable that plugs into the power strip. if so plug it directly into the wall instead. the power inserter is a black or grey rectangular adaper with 2 satellite cables in one end and an electrical cable at the other end. It'll have 1 green light on it and say "power to swm" and "signal to ird" where the cables go in. They may fix the problem.
