Playback freezing

Hi all,

I fear I might be beating a dead horse but I have not found an answer to my problems in hte forums as of yet.

I was in the beta and connected everything myself. This is how I hooked it up. The HR23 is connected via CAT5 and I have two H23 receivers connected wireless using Wireless Gaming adapters.

The system stays connected and I can view my lists on all devices(even though they don't update real-time on the HD receivers). My problem is in playback on the regular receivers.  Playback freezes often and pausing sometimes gives me the ability to watch for an extended period before freezing again.

Is there a route I can take to fix this or will I need to pay DIRECTV 100 bucks to come out and connect this with DECAs. They never offered this when I first signed up for WHDVR so I am a little peeved.

Please help me if you can, thanks.

This is the nature of Wireless LAN and WHDVR.  The best solution is DirecTV's supported DECA solution.  Call them.

Whole Home DVR was not available during the BETA period.  During that time it was well publicized that (a) anything you installed yourself during BETA would not be supported when the feature was released and (b) it was also well publicized that wireless or powerline was not a satisfactory connection method.

I can understand you aren't happy that you've invested in gaming adapters but no reason to be "peeved".  If your system is currently authorized for Whole Home then you had to request that an unsupported activation occur.
