Problem 771A

I had my directv installed yesterday late afternoon and my daughters had decided to mess with the boxes so I unplugged two of them and brought them over to my mothers for the time being until I get a new converter box for the one to hook into and until I figure out a way to keep my daughters away from the boxes. I am very disappointed that I sit without directv after a day now and would like it fixed. I was told that a tech was suppose to call me but that was 4 hours ago.

you are very disappointed that you "broke" a working system when decided to take these receivers to your mother's house?

any way, you need to find the power inserter that power your dish and make sure that is connected to a known AC outlet and it has a solid green light on.

Best to start your own new thread using the "Create New Post" button on the main forum page. Your problem may very well be different from the original poster's. With a new thread you can provide more information about your equipment, location, and troubleshooting you've tried so far. And this forum software makes it difficult to track or respond to folks that add onto someone else's thread.
