Problem with signal (771) - Can I fix it myself?

I checked the signal transponders and there are 13 0s and the tuner says Not Acquired.

I checked the dish on the backyard porch and both elevation bolts are completely loose and it’s at the very bottom (or top) at 20 when my zipcode says elevation should be 36, but the dish looks kind of normal, it’s not hanging down or anything, I don’t know if that means anything.

Does the fact that the dish is already elevated on the porch mean it could be in the right place, or should it almost never be at 20?

I can’t move the dish at all.

Anything I can do to try and reposition the dish? I’m not sure what bolts to loosen. Or do you think it’s busted? The earliest a tech can come out is Monday and if I can do it myself I’d be able to watch Sunday football.

Much appreciated.

There are videos on YouTube showing how to verify and adjust dish alignment.

I tried that but they don’t really show how to do it. They point to something and you can’t see what they’re pointing at. I couldn’t find someone actually doing it with the SubLime 2 dish I have.

I’d also like to know if the elevation needs to be 36 or if it’s already elevated, does that factor into the calculation in any way?
