R-15 Channels mixing up or just showing black screen

Hello, I have been having this problem off and on for over a year now and have not gotten any satisfactory solutions with over the phone support (apparently every time you call you *must* go through the same hoops you went through with the last person, its like they don't input notes on your account to speed things along).
Here is the problem: My local channels will randomly either show another channel (channel 9 shows channel 101, channel 4 shows WE, and I forget what channel 5 shows) or it will just show a black screen with error message 733. In my area I know that local channels are available.

Things I have noticed:
The problem persisted from Oct of 08 to about Mar of 09 at which point we were about ready to just cancel our service period because of poor crust. service. on getting the issue resolved. Amazingly in Mar for some reason the problem just went away, our guess is the weather/temp improved (which may suggest dish issues). However, the good luck only lasted until about Oct 09 when the problem resurfaced (again, hinting at perhaps either dish issues or wiring).
Also we can fiddle with the input cables by pulling them out and putting them in and turning them around until the signal comes back in (which suggests perhaps a receiver issue). This usually lasts varying amounts of time.
We have the most problems with it dropping signal on those channels whenever CBS or NBC are broadcasting a show with the tag "In HD where available"...not sure if it is doing some sort of dual signal that lets you pick it up based on your equipment, but I can watch the news and literally it will bug out as soon as the news is over and a HD program comes on (since we don't have HD my thought is perhaps it overloads something?).

Things we have tried:
Resetting the receiver with the red button, many, many, many, times with and without the crust. service. person. This SOMETIMES works for a little while, usually not much.
Changing which of the 4 plugs on the dish the cables are plugged into (nothing changed, which suggests maybe more strongly the receiver is the issue)
Changing which of the plugs on the back of the receiver the incoming cables are plugged into (no effect for overall performance, will sometimes temporarily fix the issue, usually doesn't last more than an hour).
Stayed on the phone many times with crust. service. for them to have us use the red button, they reset something on their end, had me log into my account and use the reset option on my account page. Again, like anything else it only last a little while, and each time they literally had us repeat the process from step one no matter how much I told them really, I'm not an idi ot, I've done this before with your people, can we move on and get a tech out?....yeah no luck.
