R15 DVR not "really" recording series that are scheduled

I'm having issues lately with our R15 DVR.  We've had this unit a long time and it's had some bugs here & there, but has been okay most of the time.  However, lately, it has been doing a couple of crazy things and a major feature is not properly working.  We have several series set to record.  A couple of these shows have been set up this way across multiple TV seasons.  I've noticed an issue specifically on "Brotherhood" on the 101 channel and on "Rescue Me" on FX.  On these shows, even though it shows on the guide as "record series", the DVR is not "really" recording the programs.  I've reset the DVR and I have also gone through the re-scheduling process several times on each show to try & make it work.  At the very least, the unit should allow me to cancel recordings set and then schedule it again, either show-by-show or the series.  But, this will not work.  Please advise if you have any ideas!
