R22 DVR Pillar Color Question
Brand new Direct TV Customer question - browsed form for awhile but could not find similar question:
One of my older TVs is connected to model R22-100 DVR. This TV is connected to the R22 using an RCA connector to coax converter because the TV does not have RCA type inputs. Only problem we are having is on every channel that is being cropped to fit the old 4:3 screen, the pillars are GRAY in color. My wife and I do not like the gray color and would prefer black color.
I have checked all the setup options available to me but can not find any way to change the pillar color to black. As an example, that option is available on my HD DVR connected to my HD TV. I can change the pillar color on any picture that is cropped to the smaller picture.
Was the gray pillar selected by the installer and something I do not have access to change? Or is the gray pillar the only color available on this R22 DVR connected to an older style TV?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
