rc66rx remote audio amplifier setup

I'm at wits end!!! Had some tech probs with old receiver. Got a replacement. Also swapped out old remotes. The only way I can control my pioneer amp is by flipping the slider to av1. The old remote never had to do this. Am I missing something? The audio setup wll not detect my code. I had to litterally hunt the world over just to figure out how to get it to work by programming the audio on the av1. I am NOT about to sit here and flip that switch every time I want to adjust the volume.

move the slide switch to AV1

1. Press an hold MUTE and SELECT (LED flashes twice)

2. Enter 993 then SELECT

Make sure you have a TV code under the TV mode

In addition to Peds instructions know this:  In order to control the volume of an AVR, you must first program the remote to control the volume of the TV.  Following that you can transfer the volume control to the AVR and it will work no matter where the slide switch is positioned.  On/off for the AVR will remain in AV1.

@RmCmKb2017, no, not with the RC6x remotes.  What is your remote's model number?  It's on the upper front corner of the remote.  And what DVR/Receiver model do you have?

See if these tips help ....
