RC66RX remote with H25-500 receiver and RF dongle
The kids dipped our old remote into the dog's dish of water and it went bad - I tried taking apart and drying, but still no go.
I ordered a RC66RX remote to replace, but I can't seem to get it to work in RF Mode with the RF dongle I have (H25RFRO-19). I've tried switch receiver to RF mode a couple of times to no avail. The remote works in IR mode, just not RF.
I've order the other part number of dongle adapter - H25RFANT, but twice have received the H25RFRO-19.
Are the H25RFANT & H25RFRO-19 the same thing? One's maybe an updated version?
Any advice on what to try next to get remote to work in RF mode?

TRY here: DirecTV H25RFANT RF Remote Control Antenna Dongle Adapter 781360235713 | eBay
Ask the seller to be sure you get the correct part.
Both dongles are versions are listed by 2 different sellers
The difference may be the "RF" signal type the RC66 uses a older version --as the Newer one uses a different type of RF signal used for the genie and rc71x remotes.
Example a RC66 Remote will NOT work with a GENIE in RF -The H25 Was out before the genie existed

Thanks for the help, but I've ordered the H25RFANT twice again, and still only get the H25RFRO-19. I've asked all three vendors to verify and they all said it was the correct one. Comes in direct TV box with H25RFRO-19 on it with a sticker on that says its the H25RFANT.
I'm not sure if should be looking for different remotes?
Shouldn't be this hard?

Who are you ordering from?
Try calling Solid Signal. But it's interesting that a search for the ANT part number yields the same results you're seeing. Call them.

I think you have to use the front panel touchscreen buttons to return the H25 to IR then reprogram it to RF.

I will call those guys and see what they have to say. Even in their pics, it shows the H25RFRO-19 even though the description and part number says it's the H25RFANT.

I did have to use the front panel to switch it back to IR and the remotes work fine in that mode, but don't do a thing when you program it to RF.

Perhaps your Issue with RF on the H25 is the rc66? It uses a different RF feq in other words it will only work in rf from a rc7X remote

AFAIK the H25 uses the old RF protocol so the RC7X remotes will not control it in RF.

It must be something along those lines. I think my original remote was a RC65RBK, but I thought the site I ordered the replacement from said the RC66RX was the replacement, but must not be.

It's NOT --you need a RC66RX --a RC65 anything won't work

Looks like maybe I need these?
https://www.solidsignal.com/DIRECTV-4-Device-Universal-IR-RF-Remote-Legacy-RF-2-Pack-RCIRRF-2PK
The RC66RX doesn't list the H25 receiver as being compatible.
