Recall function while viewing the guide

I've been a DirecTV subscriber for many years.

RECENTLY....

when viewing the guide, and pressing RECALL, it close the guide and goes to the recalled channel, instead of just making the channel change in guide mode and leaving the guide open to keep viewing.

This feature used to be available and it has been a BIG selling point for me.

Recently directv has removed this feature. Now it operates just like Dish Network.

This is TERRIBLE.

I've called a tech and he said it was a BUG that it even worked before. This makes me extremely angry, because it's been a FEATURE since 2005.
