Receiver has not received guide data. No signal on 110 and 119

My receiver keeps putting up an error 920 that it has not received guide data.  When I run a diagnostic it comes up Diagnosti Code 42-460 Satellite Dish Alignment or Distribution Problem.

 

Nothing has changed with my dish or wiring.  How do I correct this?

There was a guide data outage nationwide that is slowly coming back.

Then it said contact Directv which seems to be impossible

Not just you and me.  Reset gave me msg 750, Service Not Active.  Dumped by DirecTV Customer Service phone processor.  Seems like general outage and they are swamped.

Me too. I've been trying to call them since 5:30 and when the robot says one moment I'll connect you I get a busy signal! Too bad AT&T got involved in our terrific Directv because it's been h*ll ever since.

DirecTV's customer service used to be really bad, but it now appears that AT&T has made it totally non-existent.  I was doing echat yesterday and the broad on the other end was totally non-responsive to my requests.

I am receiving a message on my screen that says my guide has not been updated in 4 hours and to please contact Direct TV.  Error 772 and diagnostic error 41-898  and directed to call

 

Can't get through to Call Center  800 531-5000   after going thru call tree then transfered to busy signal.

 

What is going on???

 

Directv should at least put up notice on website...

Same  here  in  WV.....reports  from  all  over  the  country.....Possible  hack?   They  owe  it  to  customers  to  communicate  the  problem  on  this  forum !!!!!!!!!!!!! Grrrrr  isn't  strong  enough  at  this  point,  LOL

Same here. After contacting Customer Support (about a 45 minute wait), I was transferred to Technical support to address the issue and I ended up at Clairol's support line (yes, the hair product company). I've since been unable to contact DTV whatsoever after multiple attempts... either the system doesn't recognize my account, I end up with a busy signal or I'm flat out disconnected. I even tried telling the system that I wanted to cancel my service in the hope that I'd get through to a retention specialist and even that ended up going to a busy signal. Things have really gone downhill at DTV since the last time I had to contact them.

 

One suggestion... the on-screen message recommended resetting the DVR. If you do, it cant fully boot up without acquiring the guide. So don't do that.

This very thing has happened to me in Northern Michigan. I have tried all the suggested cures, even going out and cleaning my satillite  with soap and water. I cannot get my receiver to restart past "loading the guide".

Horizon City, TX is the same.  Directv should put a message that they are having problems or something regarding this.  I've been calling the same number all moringing just to get a busy tone.

Woke up at 4am to find that fox news chnl was not working in the bedroom mini genie. I go to the living room and it says the channel is not in my package. GOt the 771 or 772 message to reset... then nothing !!!! I called about 28 times, got hung up on, disconnected and then put on hold for 45 minutes only to call again after I was disconnected and the rep tell me that it is a nation wide issue but my neighbor who has DTV has a signal???


NEED HELP?
