Receiver keeps displaying "Receiver Starting Up" message

Receiver keeps turning off and displaying "Receiver Starting Up" message and then goes through "Diagnostic Test" and so forth as if it keeps re-starting itself.

sounds like your hard drive is failing.  Call DirecTV to request a replacement Receiver/DVR.  It's free if you have their Equipment Protection Plan, or within 90-days of installation.  Otherwise ~$20 for shipping.  Or ~$50 to have a tech come replace it for you

i hasd the same issue as u did kinda got old real quick i called directv thought for sure i was gonna have to have a new teciever but they walked me thru a step bt step hardware thing so far it hasnt done it again thank u directv.
