Receiver lights flash and won't work

I tried turning on my DVR this morning to watch tv.  Nothing happened.  I noticed the orange record light was on but nothing should have been recording.  I unplugged it for a few minutes and after plugging it back in tried starting it up again.  Same issue, record light was on, it started to boot and then stopped and turned itself off.

I gave up on it and did other things.  I went back a few minutes ago as I want to watch tv, unplugged it and let it sit for about ten minutes.  I plugged it back in and now the record light and the power light keep flashing and the receiver is beeping.  It won't power up or anything else.
