Receiver problems

My receiver is stuck on Channel 100. i cannot change the channel. i can turn the tv on and off and raise and lower the volume so i know the remote is working. replaced the batteries anyway no correction. tried Mute + enter suggestion screen never changed. have called twice about this and all i got was generic requests about taking pictures with my phone and sending them. i just want it fixed. i am just abiut ready to cancel my subscription and go with a competitor.

Try a red button reset on the receiver. (Side by the access card for HR54 series or front where it says ‘PUSH’ on the right side). Also, what’s the receiver model and remote model? Was it set for RF or IR mode? If it has front panel buttons try seeing if they work to operate the receiver.

HR54-200 receiver, RC73 remote. No buttons other than power button. Have red button reset numerous times in the last 3 days. I have 2 genies that are working fine in other rooms. Just the TV hooked to the receiver is acting up. If I cant access the receiver how do I determine RF or IR and what should it be thank you

Hello @fmjcws, our team is ready to work on a fix.

Have you tried resetting your remote control? If not, here is the best place to start, keep us posted on how it goes.

Press and hold mute and enter, not select but ENTER until you get a message that your remote is now setup for RF. Enter is under the number 9

@fmjcws

You can use your phone to control the receiver if it’s connected to the Internet. Just go

to the DIRECTV app and choose Remote Control. From there, go to Menu, Settings, Remote Setup, IR/RF setup, and see if it’s set for IR or RF Mode currently. If RF reset to IR and follow the instructions on-screen to program the RC73.
