Recorded shows cut off in the middle

Recently I have recorded some shows, True Blood this Sunday for example, and when I play it back, it cuts off in the middle and starts all over again.

It has happened 3 or 4 times in the last few weeks with various other movies.

Has this happened to anybody else, and if so, is that a reason / solution ?
