Red light on Directv Remote

A red light on my Directv remote will not allow me to watch anything. I am unable to access my "List" button to watch recorded shows. I can only watch a few channels.. How do I fix it?

If you have the protection plan DTV will replace it otherwise they are cheaper online.

Did you call DirecTV to order a replacement remote?  1 800 531 5000

They're cheaper if you buy from Amazon. And you can get next day delivery.  Delivery from DirecTV might take several days.
