Thanks for the response but I was not asking about a type of supported TV. Rather, I was wanting to know if it worked with the DIRECTV cable service. I have a SONY TV that is using the DIRECTV cable service.
The remote is not expected to work with DirecTV (satellite, not cable) because it is not in the supported list. As shown it lists Dish, but not DirecTV, so I would look into other remote options.

The link that I posted shows Dish Network products are supported, but not DirecTV.
