Remote Exits Guide

When I go to guide, then start to scroll down, the remote seems to randomly kick me out of guide. I've tried rebooting the receiver, I've tried replacing batteries on the remote, yet it still does it. There is no rhyme or reason as to when it will exit you out. Any help or support would be greatly appreciated.  The receiver is the DirectTV R15 if that helps.
