Remote won't pair with Samsung TU8000 TV.
My DirecTV remote (RC65) won't pair with my Samsung TU8000 tv. Tried all the codes provided on screen but none worked. HELP!!!

I suggest you get RC-73 Remote as it has more codes --

REASON --you need to get a RC66 REMOTE or NEWER Call 1-800-531-5000 and have one sent to you . YOUR TV CODE is NOT in the RC65 it will never work

Did you ever find a code that works? I have the same problem with my new Samsung 50" TU8000 and DirecTV RC65 remote.

I suggest --if you get a NEWER D* remote you will have better luck as it will contain Newer codes

Thx for that suggestion. A new D remote is in the mail. I tried ordering thru my account/my equipment/.... but when I tried to view new remotes to order it took me to a Genie page so I had to open a Chat with a tech specialist and he ordered the D remote for me. Additional question now - where do I find the newer codes for the D remote?

I only see RC remotes listed there. Maybe I am not understanding what a D remote is...

You asked about codes for a RC65 ---What remote are they sending you also what receiver are trying to control (model Number) I used the RC66X model that will work with other D* remotes above that in the list to get the code above for your TV --the RC65 is too old

Yes, I have a RC65 and none of the codes for it work. You replied 'I suggest --if you get a NEWER D* remote you will have better luck as it will contain Newer codes'. I thought a 'newer D* remote' was a different remote from RC65. I guess I'm misunderstanding... what exactly is a 'newer D* remote'?

and only see RC remotes listed

That's correct --you need to pick the RC# that is being sent to you Click--the RC65 (example) and then follow the next steps --YOUR TV CODE is NOT listed in a RC65 --only RC66 and ABOVE --Click the Newer Model Number when you get it and follow the next step --enter you TV Samsung --then enter your Model Number UN50TU8000FXZA
All D*TV REMOTES are RC numbered
