Replacing Wireless Mini receiver

Just received a replacement Genie 2 wireless mini receiver and tried to set it up.  It appears the Genie2 server is not recognizing the new mini.  Also, the Network light is flashing red, even though the mini is only about 20 feet away from the server.  Need guidance.

Hey, @cobra3899!

Thanks for reaching out! We'd be glad to help you get your wireless mini working properly.

Are you getting any error codes on the receiver? If you haven't already, we'd recommend Restarting your Receiver. You can also try unplugging your receiver, just follow these steps:

1. Unplug your receiver's power cord from the electrical outlet, wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in.

2. Press the Power button on the front panel of your receiver. Wait for your receiver to reboot.

If these steps don't work, try restoring your receiver to factory settings, by following these steps:

1. Press and hold the blue DIRECTV power button on the front of your receiver.

2. Release after twenty seconds.

If you’re still having trouble, try refreshing your service. Go to My Equipment & Features and select Refresh my service. A brief service interruption occurs as the service reboots.

Let us know if this helps!
