Return Directv equipment
I need an email detailing the equipment you expect me to return. I cancelled my service on 2/21/23 and have not received an email. I have spoke to 2 CSRs and 2 chatbots and all they send me is links but I cannot log into Directv anymore. Uverse sent me an email with directions and equipment list. It was smooth and easy. Directv has been more challenging. the CSRs said I would get an email with the details but I still haven't received one.

This is a public forum full of customers so we don’t have any details related to your account. However, we can tell you if your equipment is returnable by directv if you tell us the model numbers of your equipment. This will get returned to a nearby FedEx or UPS location with your account number.

What are the models of each box you have? Though customer support should have the current returnable list, many of us experienced users can give guidance as some models are very clear on if they should be returnable or not.
Any returnable models you take to a participating FedEx/The UPS Store (so corporate locations, not annex) for the free return with your account number. Make sure to keep receipt showing they took possession.

Just make certain when you return the equipment to get and keep the receipts from the shipper (UPS, FedEx). Direct TV claimed not to have received equipment we returned and threatened to turn us over to collections because we refused to pay for equipment we'd returned. We provided proof twice (the shipping receipt) and were assured it would be taken care of but the collections threats continued. Like so many other stories on here, what they say they will do and what they actually do are two entirely different things.
