Return equipment

If I’m canceling my account, how do I send equipment back? If I have a satellite on my house will someone come take it down?

When you cancel DirecTV will give you instructions for returning any equipment that needs to be returned. Only newer equipment needs to be returned to a UPS or FedEx shipping center. What are your DVR/Receiver model numbers?

This satellite dish is yours to do what you want. DirecTV won't come to remove it.

You take any returnable receiver/client boxes to a participating FedEx or The UPS Store for your free return (have your account number handy). Make sure to get receipt showing they took possession. What models are each of your boxes?

Receiving dish, cabling, and any other accessories you own. Up to you what you do with them (recycling suggested). If you choose to remove the dish, leave the mounting bracket to prevent against leaks.

As a note, your final bill is not prorated. You receive service and are charged for the full bill cycle. So avoid calling too early in the cycle so you get the most out of what you are paying for.
