RV Setup Issues
I have three receivers in the house, all working well. I have one standard receiver designated for the RV and it works fine in the house. I have the RV antenna aligned (set to 18" dish and multi-switch) and good signal strength on the transponders numbered above 25 but no signal strength on the lower numbers. The receiver verification test fails because "No signal is detected". I have redone the setup numerous times, moved the receiver between the house and RV (works fine in the house), done a systems test and the receiver and LNB pass every time. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Your dish is aimed at the wrong DirecTV satellite. You're aimed at 119ºW instead of 101ºW. Swing the dish azimuth about 18º to the east.

litzdog911 had it right, took me 5 minutes to get on the right sat, bad to assume that you have an accurate pointing direction. Thanks

The surest way to point your azimuth is to go to www.dishpointer.com and put in your location and the round dish. Get the azimuth for the 101 satellite, use your compass to point about 10 degrees too far East, then slowly move the dish to the West, a degree or so at a time untli all 32 of the 101 transponders light up (even though a few will be low or zero).
