Same episdoe records multiple times?

Have an HR22 dvr, most recordings work fine.  However, when a show is on multiple times it records each one separately.  For example, channel 312 has Martha Stewart show at 12:00 pm and again at 1:00 pm.  Even though I only set one to record in the guide, when I set it to record the series I get both time slots.  Tried setting to new episodes only but that didn't help.  Have deleted the from the to do list and re-done but get the same result.
