Satellite dvr recordings do not show on direct tv app

I have a satellite dvr setup and I want to watch my recorded shows on my patio.  I have the DirectTV app and I am able to login but the DVR Recordings tab shows my receiver but no recorded shows.  I have setup and tested the wireless connection of my receiver to the internet and I have confirmed that the DVR listed on the DirectTV app as the connected DVR match the receiver's id #.  I can see the recorded shows on my DVR but not on my app.

Incidentally the website stream.directv.com doesn't even show the tab for DVR Recordings.
