Saving money

Can a tv in another room receive programing from the DVR without being hooked up with a Sat. connection?

In other words can I save the $6.00 fee in the additional room if I am willing to only watch off the DVR?

I am trying to figure out the best New installation for my home.

What you want will work, but the Directv system is not specifically designed for that purpose so what you propose is by nature a jury rig.  Personally, I spend the $6 and have a first rate system.

Not easily.  You could run an audio/video cable from the DVR to that remote room's TV, but then you would be forced to view the same channels/recordings in the remote room's TV as on the main room's TV.
