SCAM

I just received a call from a Directtv Rep/John Parker who said my receiver needed to be upgraded. He confirmed my address and date of birth and after giving me a few discounts for being a loyal customer and paying my bill on time, he let me know there was a problem upgrading my receiver - problem with the software. I asked him how this would be taken care of. He could fix it for $149. WHAT!! I told him I wasn't paying that, this was Directtv's problem to fix not mine. He then gave me a deal for $129 and could transfer me to the billing dept to take my cc. He gave me his phone# and badge# should I want the upgrade. Watch out for this scam!!!!

Scam is correct. Hopefully you also realize that was not Directv calling.
