Searching for Satelite 771 error

My problem started on June 28,2010. I was getting the searching for satelite 771 error only on 3 satations 229 HGTV 207 ESPN NEWS, and 628 NESN. On 7/1/10 I would be getting receptions momentary then the shows would freeze, and the searching message would appear. Yesterday during the daytime, I was getting the searching message, but at night I could get the station broadcast. I schedule a service technician but the earliest he could arrive is on 7/13/10.
