Series not recording
I have a TV series set to record all episodes which had been working fine for over a year. Now, no matter what I do, the series will not record. Other series' still seem to be recording fine, just this one isn't, even though I've completely canceled the recording, started over and moved it up to #1 on my series manager preferences. Any ideas what I can do?

It's probably because the 28 day rule applies. If you have recorded the same episode in the last 28 days, the DVR won't record it even if you have deleted it from the disk. Yhe only way to get those episodes is to set each one for manual recording.
This rule is not unique to directv!

That's interesting - and probably what's happening. Thanks so much for that insight - much appreciated!

I don't know about that because I only watch/record DirecTV on one TV in our home.

Thanks for the details, @aaron71.
Is there a posibility for you to try to record previous episodes of the show? To see if you get the same inconvenience.
We'll be waiting for the results.

Do you mean as opposed to only recording new episodes? If so, I have already tried that setting several times. Also, there aren't any new episodes of ELR, only reruns.

Hailey - see the correct answer above. Nothing to do with licensing.
