Series recordings

There needs to be an series options to specify that I only want to record from a specific network channel and not all channels. I noticed that when you navigate using the guide to the channel and day and time and then press the record button twice it does record only for that channel for the series but if you do minus sign (-) to search for a program and select record series it goes to all channels. This is no good because not all series are immediately available on the guide.
