Set HD/DVR to record from another HD/DVR?
My configuration is - Living Room HR-24, Den HR-24 and Broadband DECA, Bedroom 1 H-24, Bedroom 2 H-25. Would like to know if I can program the den DVR from the living room DVR. Thanks in advance.

No. Currently you cannot program one HD DVR from another. You can, as you know, program recordings from either of the HD receivers on either of the HD DVR's. If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can manage your entire system from anywhere in the house.
Here is the workaround that I use for my 3 HD DVR's. My main viewing area is the living room. I put all the one time showing recordings on that DVR. Ball games, movies and spontaneous selections. The secondary viewing area is the bedroom and I put all (or at least most) the season passes on that one because they only need to be tended infrequently. The last DVR belongs to my boy and he tends his own and never alters "ours" although he is allowed to watch from ours.

According to the DIRECTV FAQ/tutorial - not true.
Step #1Highlight the program you want to record in the onscreen guide or from a search and just press the Recordbutton. (If you're tuned in to the program you want to record, just press the Recordbutton.)
Step #2You will be prompted to select the DVR on which you want to record.
Step #3Confirm that you want to record by clicking "OK."
However, I can't get it to work with my HR22/100's w/ software 0x4d1 - I just noticed this software is really old (8/10).. Do I need to update to get this to work? How do I update the software? Anyone else have this working?

My post was absolute fact. You won't find anyone who can schedule a recording from one HD DVR to another HD DVR.

This feature has been requested by many subscribers but there has been no word on if/when it will happen.
