setting up receiver for the weekend

I wanted to bring my receiver to my remote cabin

Followed all the online set up instructions- entered zipcode for Degree, Alz and tilt

 

I can't get a signal ???

 

Can't I bring my receiver from home for a day or 2

 

Should I call Service have trhem algin it ????

DirecTV won't provide service at your remote cabin, only at your service address (home). In theory, you are not even supposed to use the receiver at a second location but DirecTV turns a blind eye to this as long as you are not using equipment at both locations at the same time.

So let's see if we can help you solve the problem.  Please confirm you have a D11, and what sort of dish do you have at the cabin.

I'm getting the info Stand by It's the same dish as at my home apples to apples really I tried dish pointers req'd Settings & by zip on the recvr set up Colleen

Could always be a loose connection, check the cables.
