Setting up SWM dish/lnb for camping

Have got a new SWM dish and LNB for use when we go camping.  Using a receiver from our home on our trips.  What components are needed to connect dish to receiver?  Any help from anyone would be awesome!!

You'll need a SWM dish power inserter.  The dish LNB output coax connects to the "SWM" connection on the Power Inserter.  The HR24 connects to the "IRD" port on the Power Inserter.

Thanks for the quick reply!!  Now when I do that and get my dish settings from information provided by the receiver (azimuth, tilt, etc...) I still do not get a signal.  What am I missing or messing up??  Made sure that dish is plumb.  Is a splitter needed or can the coax go straight from the power inserter to the dish?

Does your power inserter have two coax connections?  One should be labeled "SWM" and connects to the satellite dish LNB. The other should be labeled "IRD" and connects to the HR24 SAT IN1 connector.

Assuming everything is cabled and powered properly, you'll need to slowly sweep the dish a few degrees to acquire the satellite signal.  Those aiming coordinates are just starting points.  Be patient.  And practice lots of times before heading out anywhere.

When doing the sweep for the signal, is the tilt markings on the dish accuate enough to use?  What is the best transponder to use to get signals and to tune the dish?

That tilt marking should be accurate enough, provided your mast is perfectly plumb.

You'll want to use any of the Conus transponders on the 101º satellite to initially peak the dish's readings.  I like to use transponder 3.  Once you've peaked the 101º readings, change the signal meter to the 99º(c) satellite and peak those readings using the dish's fine (dither) adjustments.   There are some good YouTube videos you can watch that show how to do this.
