Should I still hold off?

I currently have a 3LNB dish with an H10 HDDVR (with 2 input lines) and two RCA SD DVR's (each with 1 input line). I also receive OTA HD on most of the local channels. I have been holding off installing a multiswitch because the installer told me the switch for my current system may not be compatible with the new Mpeg4 systems (this was about 18 months ago and the newer technology wasn't available at that time). At some point I want to run a 2nd input to each of the SD DVR's and add two additional SD receivers in other rooms of the house. I also want to be able to network the DVR's so I can watch recorded shows on any of the tv's (DirecTV tells me this isn't currently available). My question is- Now that the new HD DVR's are available, should I look at upgrading the system and installing a new dish and switch (as well as a new H20 DVR) now? Or should I wait until all of the bugs have been worked out of the new DVR's and the new Mpeg4 technology is fully up and running next year? I would like to install a multiswitch to use with my current equipment, but I don't want to install it and then have to replace it if I upgrade to the new equipment. Any suggestions?
