SL3 PIG-Z Slimline Single Head Four Output Dish

We are currently traveling around the country in our motor coach.  We had a service call at a campground in Williamsburg, Virginia on 8/4/2010.  The Direct TV contractor installed an HD DVR receiver in our motor home and a Slimline SL-3 PIG-Z Lot No -0109 single head with four outputs 3LNB dish at our campsite.  The Slimline dish is always mounted outside on an H&G Enterprises surveyor tripod designed to support the dish.  We are now in Palm Desert, CA where the dish was knocked over by Santa Ana high winds.  The dish is now slightly bent and the single head plastic is chipped.  I called Direct TV to inquire about a replacement dish because the dish is bent. They provided me with Winegards  service # 1-800-288-8094.  I have called and left messages with no response.  I do not understand why Direct TV can’t send a service provider to my location to replace the damaged dish so I can get all the satellites that I am paying for.

My current location is 77500 Varner Road Palm Desert, CA 92211.  Please provide advice and guidance in the above matter.

Did you ask DIRECTV that question?  I'm guessing that the answer is that DIRECTV no longer authorizes tripod mounts, so sending a tech is not an option for them.  You might check yellow pages in your area for an independent DIRECTV dealer.

there are two things to consider here.  first is that if you have a residential account, DirecTV will not provide support outside of your home address.  if you have an RV account, those accounts are handle by the respective dealer not DirecTV.  Thus you need to contact the dealer who install the DirecTV in your RV

Direct TV authorized the original Slimline tripod install on 8/4/2010 by a Direct TV contractor sent to our camp site.  They provided the Slimline dish at no cost as part of the set-up.  I'm sure that your guess is correct that they no longer authorize tripod mounts and want send out a tech.  We have an RV account which was authorized by DIRECT TV not a dealer. Our home is where we park it.  If they want send a techCool, where do I go to get a new dish without having to pay a independent Direct TV dealer for a new dish?  You can't watch TV without a dish.

There's no way to get a new dish without paying for it.

You can find reasonably priced satellite dishes on eBay.
