Software update on east coast!

Question

Hello all, this may have been posted already, but we received the MRV update this morning at 3:22am. Opted in all remaining receivers and where good to go. Thanks DirecTV! I may have to add an external USB HDD now... 🙂 Tim

External USB drives will not work, only eSATA. Lot's of conversation about this in the HD DVR forum.

I got my update in Atlanta this morning a 322am also on my H21-200

Cool. Ya, I upgraded another one of my H20's to the H21, tried to force the new download but didn't work. A few minutes later, it asked me if I wanted to download new update. All working well.

I got the software update 0x43a8, it's working great. I'm using PowerLine connection and it's working good, including HD content. I hope this thing doesn't cost too much because it's great so far. BTW: HR20 and viewing content on H21. I'm located in Norfolk, VA

For what it's worth, H23-600 units in NJ and no update as of 3/21.

How do you force the update? Im in PA and only my H23 DVR updated, not my HD Receivers

Just wait. The update cannot happen until your receiver is cleared for it and there is nothing you can do to get it cleared early.
