Strange video issue - screen split in 3

Alright - DirecTV tech support was unable to help me, I thought I'd try here before I shoot my television.

This afternoon, my television screen split in 3. There are two vertical lines and the picture appears 3 times on the screen - distorted, of course.

I thought maybe this was an issue with my television, but when I switch to my DVD player, the screen is fine. The only time this happens is when I am using the DirecTV receiver.

Anyone have this issue before or know what I may be able to do to fix it?
