Strong signal on meter, satellite not showing up on DVR
Hi, I've been having some trouble with our DirecTV setup. We had been experiencing some issues receiving some HD channels (ESPN-HD, CNN-HD) while others have come in just fine (Fox News-HD), etc. To try to isolate the issue, we tried a bunch of things including re-aiming and even replacing the dish (we have a 5-LNB slimline dish, not the SWM version). After replacing the dish, now we have a new problem. I can aim the dish with no problem (I have the Accutrac III) and get good signal level on 101 and 119. However, when I go to the actual box (the HR20), going through the setup screens, all transponders on 101 come up with 0. In addition all transponders on 119 come up 0 as well. The only satellite that seems to have any signal level is 110, 3 transponders are in the 80s and 90s. Has anyone else seen this kind of behavior where 101 and 119 are peaked VERY well on the Accutrac III but then show up as zeros when going through the HR20? I've even gone all the way to get a short coax wire coming right out of the LNB directly into the box to eliminate the possibility of the longer runs of Coax or the multiswitch as possible causes of signal loss.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is a really big head scratcher....
