Suggestion for an improvement in the firmware for the DVR receiver box.
I have a suggestion for an improvement in the DVR equipment firmware. Sometimes I will inadvertently delete a recording that I had no intention in deleting.
Currently, when I delete a recorded program, it is gone forever. I have deleted recorded programs by mistake, such as having a program highlighted & suddenly, the listing adds another recording at the top of the list, moving my selection for deletion down. I hit the delete button, but the wrong program was deleted.
My suggestion would be for your code writers to create a deleted file, such as those in my software programs on my PC such as Word, Excel, email, etc. where there is a deleted app that the deleted file gets sent to so that the list can be reviewed for final deletion, or restored back to where it was.

Many have asked for this feature for years, and DIRECTV still hasn’t integrated it. I doubt it will ever truly be released.

It would be easy to provide and optional/settable confirmation dialog, like other modern computers... you hit delete, and then a window pops up "are you sure", and to press a different button to confirm.
But, they need to get the bugs out of the software first, and stop the spurious resets first.

Yeah. I was assuming that they'd just need to add a 'Recently Deleted' folder beside the Playlist folder as the DVRs run off Linux and modifying the file path for recordings wouldn't be too demanding.
