switching from a standard DTV receiver to a DVR

If switching 3 standard receivers to DVRs should each room be wired with DRV cables directly to the dish? ALso, we switched the 1 dvr in the livingroom we had to an HD-DVR. The tech over the phone said each room would have to be installed and wires ran due tom the 3 not ever having a DVR before. Well the instller DID NOT run wires separately. Instead he said he was going to run them all from 1 wire. My kids have had to live with blurry unreadable guides, and poor reception since August. (GIFTS FOR BIRTHDAY) Should the installer have taken more time to install each one separately? I've been told over and over to adjust the brightness, and sharpness on their TV's, but I am telling you, it is not the TV"S, we already tried that.
