The "Jump Ahead In A Recording" button quit working.

This button ( ->I ) has worked fine for me up until tonight.  When you press it to jump through the commercials on a recording, the receiver flickers and makes a noise like it is receiving a command, but it will not jump ahead.  All other buttons still work properly onthe remote.  Any ideas?
