This is a question about the genie in my bedroom (not the main receiver in the living room)

My genie in my bedroom(not my main receiver in the living room) disconnects itself, like it has a short.  I have to joggle the cord in the back about once a week to get it to work.  Is there a chance I could get a replacement genie?

Hi, @beckybudgirl!

We could definitely help you with replacing that Genie here, but before we do that, we should rule out any possible issues not outside of the equipment.

When you say you joggle the cord in the back, are you referring to the power cord, HDMI or coaxial cable?

Have you made sure that the power is plugged in securely, and that everything is secured properly and undamaged?

If it is the HDMI or coaxial cable, have you tried a different cable?

In some cases, the outlet may be loose or damaged, so try a different outlet to see if that helps.

Let us know, so we know how to proceed.
