Tilt for 43755 AND 43221

Bought new tripod and dish.  It is a Oval Slimline; think it has three LNBs - it called a "Integrated LNB with 4 Outputs".  Need to set it up in two locations.  ONe is zip 43221 and the other is 43755.  Can any help me find the tilt?  Cant find it anywhere on Directv site?

Thanks, Ames

Zip 43221:

Elevation: 40.2
Azimuth: 212.5

Zip 43755:

Elevation: 39.5
Azimuth: 215.6

For future reference try typing in 'dish pointing' in the search bar, and select the first link that appears.

Sorry, misread your question. It doesn't have tilt, and won't be found on the site anywhere. Trial and error.

Yikes...  What do you mean trial and error?  Range?  What parameters impact the needed setting?

There are two ways to get the dish settings for any location that you need.

1) In your current setup, go to menue>favs&sat>system setup>satellite>repeat setup>  on the right, select dish pointing>enter zip code,

select okey, then select the type of dish you are using, with the correct switch type.  On the upper right, you will see the alignment settings that you will use for that location.   NOW SELECT CANCEL.

If you are doing this at home, DO NOT SELECT CONTUNIE as this will change your current configureation.

2)  You can go to dishpointer.com and select the dish type and enter your zip code and you will get the same information.

Remember that all of these readings are starting points for the alignment process.

You can do this for any where you want to go to.

Bump...  Still searching.  dishpointer.com  gives me some info.  I am just wanting to confirm that for zip code 43755 and wanting HD channels using: Elevation: 39.5, Azimuth: 215.6, Tilt: 68.3  will do the trick? BTW only going 100 miles from my house.  Heard that tilt might not change at all?

Pretty close.  You want the "DirecTV 5LNB (99W, 101W, 103W 110W, 119W)" dish type in the Dishpointer pull down menu.

For your zip code, it shows:

EL = 39.4º

AZ = 208.9º true, 217º magnetic

Tilt/Skew = 68.3º

But those settings should be nearly identical 100 miles away.

Aligning a Slimline dish using trial and error to get the tilt (or skew) would require a magician.
