TiVo help

I have a TIVO THR 22 and it is failing.  I  am not giving it up if I don’t have to.   Sent it to weaknees and I have had the hard drive and power supply changed.  It still keeps restarting.   If I buy a new one from weaknees will directv activate it?   Can I just put the old card in the new TiVo?   Can I activate it on my own?  Anybody know any other ideas?   I called directv and she said they won’t activate it because it is from somewhere else and a TiVo.

You can't switch cards.  Doubt it is "new" but refurbished.  It is a DTV receiver that runs TiVo software so it is not made by TiVo.

I can help you repair it, as I have experience with these receivers. It does sound like a hard drive issue, and WeaKnees may not have done a proper job when attempting to fix the issues.

Have you check with weaknees to see if you are still under a warranty?
