Troubleshooting no signal (771) - DirecTV Satelitte and Transponder listing
Posting DirecTV's channel, satellite and transponder information (Correction - file extension that is not allowed. The following extensions are invalid: exe, vbs, scr, com, pif, dll,js,bat, inf, reg, htm, zip, ade, adp, html, bas, reg, vsd, vss, doc, ppt, xls,)
. DBSTalk link attached. Info current as of 12/21/11.

Date & Time stamp of post (10-26-11, 02:32 PM)
Look for Excel file in the thread (also is a latin america file): TPN_MAP_Domestic_50105_111221
This allows customers to see the channels on each satellite/transponder and confirm poor signal quality and isolate issues.
This is being posted in response to poor customer service (the fact that DirecTV CSR's / supervisors) don't have access to this info. Before I pay or have a fee waived for a satellite re-alignment, I want to be pretty much certain that is the issue. There is absolutely no reason this shouldn't be in their troubleshooting tools. And I as a customer shouldn't need to spend time searching for this on my own. Google query: directv transponder maps, 2011.
Sorry to the rep that had to take my call (especially here at the holidays)! Hope this helps customers, technicians, and CSR's.
Love my DirecTV, service could be better. Help us Help You!

even though this document has good info, is useless to most customers. in a working DirecTV system, with a properly aligned dish, you should be able to get all the signals from all the satellites. no need to know what comes from where.

You don't need to search for this info on your own as it's basically useless to most customers as Ped's stated. In fact, if you request a service call you don't need to do anything at all. As to diagnosing a mis aligned dish we never rely on looking at a single transponder on a single satellite, we look at all the signals collectively and have been doing so for several years. I note that you did this research prior to actually posting to the forum. Had you come here first we could have saved you the search. If you'd like to post back your signals, we can tell you if you indeed need your dish realigned.
You'll find these readings under "Menu" -> "Setup" -> "System Setup" -> Satellite -> "View Signal Strength". Note the "+" and "-" symbols next to the "Satellite" and "Tuner" entries where you can toggle the readings between the various satellites and both DVR tuners. If you have a DVR it's important to check BOTH satellite tuners.
Fill in your readings for each satellite and tuner on the new post you create, using the example below as a guide. (The example below is only an example and not a form that will appear in your post unless you "cut" and "paste" it.) A properly aligned dish will show 80-90's on most of the relevant transponders (although some will be low or zero):

yes - the signal strength noting which were hd and which are regular would have helped except for the fact that the DTV CSR never even asked to confirm any of my signal strengths on the various transponders and without confirming anything wanted to simply blame an out of alignment on the dish (even before I realized many channels were out).
A rep can't simply ask me whether I have "any" HD stations because they're scattered across multiple satellite transponders. Further, if a person doesn't have international service, they could care less about those transponders (if they even register on the dish when you don't have that package - never bothered to look that closely at it).
You see, searching this forum isn't necessarily the first thing i should need to do but if CSR's are only going to read from scripts and have no expertise, then talking to them isn't very helpful. So maybe, in the rare case when I have problems, I should simply come to the forums.
