TV is freezing up

I’ve had Direct TV for 5 yrs with no problems and yesterday I upgraded to the genie 2 wireless system. And its terrible. My TV has been freezing up about once an hour.

The Genie 2 itself does not connect to the TV, so your freezing effect is occurring from your Genie mini. What is the receiver model of the Genie Mini? Does this issue occur on other TVs? Have you tried a red button reset on the Genie 2 as WELL AS the Genie mini client (right side)?
